Linocut + Letterpress Sequential [Day 4]

Linocut is a relief printmaking technique similar to woodcut. An image is created by carving into a special sheet of artist-grade linoleum and then the surface of the carved plate is inked and printed. Join us to learn this process as well as how to transfer images to your block and how to properly sharpen your tools. As part of this class, students will also explore drawers of lead and wood type while learning the basics of typesetting. Use these new skills to typeset and print text on top of your relief prints.

This workshop meets once a week for four (4) weeks. [Every Monday night in April].
